MINUSCA Phase II AAR

Using the Airfield as the region’s UN/Government Forces operational base, troops from the Govt. and UN headed around Niakala looking for enemy caches and intel in preparation for the final phase of the operation. A total of 10 weapon/ammo caches were destroyed aswell as 30 insurgents detained. The intel collected from these detainees and other items picked up from insurgent outposts has given us a full picture of the rebels operations, structure, leaders and external support.

Some of this intel details the presence of russian mercenaries (Wagner) in the area, hired by the rebels forces to protect their stronghold in Shwasana and train local forces.

In preparation for the final phase of the operation 4 high value targets have been designated:

  • Manasil Kiporonira – Commander of the rebel forces.
  • Asadr Kasinyua – Second in Command of the rebel forces.
  • Talani Karangitui – Arms dealer supplying the rebels with weapons and equipment.
  • Timofey Petrov – Leader of the wagner forces in the area.

Capturing or killing these HVTs will cripple and possibly end the rebel operation in the area. More information to follow on the next phase.
